Getting oxidation of of boat gelcoat and returning it to like new gloss is a three step process. First, we need to buff the boat with a wool pad and compound to remove oxidation. Second, once the oxidation is gone we need to polish the boat with a synthetic pad and a polish to get the boat as glossy as possible. Finally, it is time to wax. Waxing is important to protect the boat. However, it is the least important of these three steps! Focus on doing a great job of compounding and polishing and you will get great results!
